RENT FOR APARTMENTS IN LARGE GERMAN CITIES
On a nationwide average in Germany, the rental prices for private apartments in 2019 increased by 1.8 percent when compared to the previous year. In large German cities, the average rent in the period under review amounted to a net base rent of 7.04 euros per square meter.
Rental prices in Saxony’s large cities of Dresden and Leipzig are below the German average. In Dresden, for instance, the net base rent per square meter is 6.13 euros. Rental prices in both cities are also increasing at a below average rate.
