Wallonia-Saxony webinar: What's up in Saxony regarding innovation for hydrogen

Information and objective

Innovation plays a key role throughout the hydrogen value chain. Research and development have always been a priority in Wallonia, and several projects are currently underway, including test infrastructures specifically for hydrogen. To strengthen these initiatives, it is essential to analyze developments in neighboring countries in order to identify complementarities and pool our strengths.

This webinar will therefore present ongoing projects in Wallonia with a particular focus on test infrastructures, as well as a major project in Germany: the test infrastructures of the Hydrogen Innovation Center in Chemnitz.

The insight into the best-practice projects is intended to serve as an initial orientation for companies with regard to possible cooperation in research and development. These are currently eligible for funding from the Walloon region under the 37th IraSME call for proposals. IraSME is a network of ministries and funding agencies for the joint support of transnational projects by companies in national/regional funding programs. Coordination for German companies is carried out by AiF Projekt GmbH, funded by the BMWE. There are two rounds of calls for proposals each year, with deadlines in March and September.
