Saxony kicks off the 2026 trade fair year at the CES in Las Vegas
The Saxony Trade & Invest Corp. (WFS) is kicking off the 2026 trade fair year with a strong international presence: from January 6 to 9, the WFS and seven companies will be presenting Saxony as a high-tech location at the CES in Las Vegas, one of the world's leading technology trade fairs.
Under the umbrella of the "German Pavilion", Saxony is showcasing its innovative strength and underlining its position as a leading location for future technologies. Visit Saxony at Venetian Expo, Hall A, Booth 51242.
"Numerous innovations and market developments will be presented for the first time at CES. The trade fair is therefore regarded as a global indicator for upcoming technology trends and is therefore also an important international showcase for Saxony and its exhibitors. Companies from the Free State will be presenting developments in areas in which Saxony is strong, including solutions for neuromorphic computing, automation and AI-based sensor technology. The trade fair also offers the opportunity to observe the market and, due to its wide international reach, the chance to acquire customers worldwide. Furthermore, the USA is a strategically important market for Saxony as the second most important export country," explains WFS Managing Director Thomas Horn.
The following exhibitors from Saxony are represented at the trade fair:
- aconnic system Germany GmbH, Hartmannsdorf
- fkon Consulting GmbH, Bautzen
- Embedded AI @ Linguwerk GmbH, Dresden
- move technology GmbH, Chemnitz
- Muniq Design GmbH, Zwickau
- SpiNNcloud Systems GmbH, Dresden
- Z-Wave Europe GmbH, Hohenstein-Ernstthal
The trade fair participation is organized by WFS on behalf of the Saxony State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labor, Energy and Climate Protection (SMWA).
CES 2026 focuses on technologies that shape everyday life. The program focuses on AI, digital health, vehicle technology and advanced mobility as well as the topic of energy. More than 4,500 exhibitors and 142,000 trade visitors recently took part in CES, making the platform interesting for both established industry giants and start-ups.
WFS plans further activities for the US market
This year, WFS will continue to develop the US market with various projects and formats. For example, company delegations from Arizona and Colorado from the semiconductor sector will be coming to Saxony in June. The WFS is supporting the initiation of contacts with interested Saxon companies. Also in June, a representative of the AHK San Francisco will be a guest at the futuresax innovation conference and provide an insight into the mindset and ecosystem of Silicon Valley. There is also a regular themed meeting organized by WFS together with the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce, which focuses on the exchange between Saxon companies with and without experience in practical US business. For newcomers, we recommend participating in the US Market Entry Bootcamp organized by the IHK Dresden in cooperation with the AHK USA-Chicago. This is an intensive 3-day seminar in March, which covers all relevant aspects of market entry, from legal basics to marketing strategies, in interactive presentations and personal consultations. Registration is now open.
