Booking.com, one of the world's leading online travel platforms, announces the winners of the 14th Traveler Review Awards. Saxony is one of the most hospitable regions in the world for the first time in 2026 and once again takes first place among the federal states.
Booking.com, one of the world's leading online travel platforms, is honoring partners with the Traveler Review Awards for the 14th time. The awards are based on more than 370 million verified guest reviews from travelers around the world. The awards recognize partners in the areas of accommodation, car rental, and airport transfers who stand out for their exceptional warmth and hospitality.
- Germany among the top 5 worldwide
A total of 1.81 million partners in 221 countries and regions will receive a Traveller Review Award this year, including accommodation partners, car rental companies, and airport transfer providers. Germany plays an important role in this: nationwide, 111,685 partners will receive an award in 2026. This puts Germany in fourth place worldwide – behind Italy (214,666), France (170,596), and Spain (152,292) and ahead of the United Kingdom (93,989).1 These figures show how strongly accommodations in Germany focus on their guests – from a personal welcome to little extras that make a stay special.
Saxony takes first place among the German federal states. Accommodations in the top 5 are particularly often given top marks by travelers for friendliness, service, and atmosphere.
