WHX: Innovations from Saxony for the international healthcare market
From February 9 to 12, the international healthcare industry will meet at the World Health Expo (WHX) - formerly Arab Health - in Dubai and Saxony will be there with a strong presence.
Together with the Saxony Trade & Invest Corp. (WFS), 18 exhibitors will be presenting innovative solutions for medical devices, equipment and materials as well as diagnostics and IT systems. This is the 20th time that the Free State of Saxony has underlined its role as a versatile life sciences location at one of the world's most important trade fairs in the sector.
"New name, new location - that's the best way to describe this year's trade fair. After 50 years, Arab Health will become World Health Expo and will take place for the first time at the new Dubai Exhibition Center. With this renaming, the event underlines its global claim in the healthcare industry, which is also reflected in the expansion of the portfolio to cover the entire spectrum of healthcare. This gives exhibitors the opportunity to achieve even greater international visibility. In addition, as a trade hub between three continents, Dubai offers Saxon companies the best conditions for finding new customers and partners and opening up new markets," explains WFS Managing Director Thomas Horn.
meso international GmbH from Mittweida will be attending the trade fair for the first time. CEO Ruben Schwerin describes his expectations: "MESO stands for medical documentation that does not fail in everyday clinical practice due to technical complexity. In this way, we are making a contribution to digitalization and networking in hospitals. As the second-generation Managing Director, I am driving forward the internationalization of the solutions that my father has been developing in Saxony for over 30 years with a high level of technical excellence and customer proximity. The Middle East is a strategic growth region for us, and we have already gained a strong partner in Saudi Arabia. The SACHSEN! joint stand offers us a high level of international visibility and the opportunity to exchange ideas with companies that have recognized similar opportunities for themselves."
"Arab Health, now WHX Dubai, is an integral part of our trade fair planning. In addition to acquiring new customers, Dubai is always an opportunity for us to meet existing customers from Asia and the Arab world and beyond. I don't think we would be at the trade fair so often if we hadn't also been successful," adds Jürgen Haaser, Managing Director of Allmed Medical GmbH from Pulsnitz.
