A Fruity Success Story
Lausitzer Früchteverarbeitung GmbH in Sohland has developed into the largest fruit processing company in Saxony and one of the leading manufacturers of fruity consumer goods and food additives.
In addition to many other types of fruit and vegetables, around 1,500 tons of apples are processed every year.
The "Consumer Products" division produces juices, mulled wines, canned fruit and vegetables, jams and children's products. The second division, "Food Ingredients", supplies fruit preparations, basic ingredients and flavors to the dairy, confectionery and beverage industries. The total range comprises around 300 different articles. New products and processes for food manufacturers and retailers are also developed in Sohland.
