The focus is on the supply and recycling of radioactive materials from research, medicine and industry, the recycling of ionization smoke detectors, the dismantling and decontamination of radionuclide laboratories and other facilities as well as the processing of radioactive sources.

Gamma-Service Recycling GmbH, headquartered in Leipzig, was founded in 1998. At the beginning, the company consisted of 13 employees who already had many years of experience in handling radioactive material. Since then, the company has steadily expanded, so that the workforce has grown to over 50 employees. The team includes highly qualified physicists, engineers and technicians as well as a back office specially trained in the challenges of the business field. Gamma-Service Recycling GmbH was acquired by the Berlin-based Eckert & Ziegler Group in 2017.

Gamma-Service Recycling provides customers with targeted support in all matters relating to the use, acceptance and recycling of radioactive materials.

The company's core competencies include the global takeover and recycling of industrial and medical radioactive sources, the procurement of such sources according to individual customer requirements and the worldwide transportation of radioactive material with its own fleet of vehicles. In addition, Gamma-Service Recycling offers the planning, delivery, installation and commissioning of industrial irradiation systems.
