Socks are not just a typical everyday item: selected materials, wearing comfort, quality of workmanship and additional functionalities turn them into high-tech accessories.

For example, Lindner has developed socks that are made from a special silver-containing yarn and are particularly suitable for the high demands of diabetics thanks to their special finish. Together with the Chair of Sports Equipment Technology at Chemnitz University of Technology, Lindner has developed a "smart sock". The sock is equipped with electronics that measure the pressure distribution and acceleration on the foot. This allows conclusions to be drawn about parameters such as one-sided strain.
