Innovations for sustainable building of the future
In the BauRaumWerk® network, the Center for Building and Living in Hoyerswerda project brings together companies, universities and research institutes for product and process innovations for the sustainable construction of the future.
Research network in the construction industry. In order to develop industrially manufactured construction elements "MADE IN LAUSITZ" using the latest technology, a network of partners has formed around the Lusatian Technology Center-LAUTECH, which brings the necessary portfolio and specific know-how to the table.
- Innovative system construction: Innovative system construction will enable the most socio-economically sustainable development in the construction industry in the future. System construction offers an innovative, sustainable construction method. Flexible system walls are manufactured in industrial series production with a high degree of prefabrication and then assembled on the construction site. The aim is to link industrial system construction with modern technologies both in the manufacturing process and in assembly technologies.
- Serial refurbishment: Serial refurbishment based on the "Energiesprong principle" rethinks refurbishment. A simple, fast and economically feasible overall product with NetZero standard that enables climate-friendly refurbishment and living for everyone. The "Energiesprong principle" is based on a digitalized construction process and high-quality, standardized solutions with serially prefabricated elements. It stands for high living comfort, short refurbishment times and an innovative financing model. In the future, it will also be possible to implement this refurbishment in a rent-neutral manner.
- New materials: With the development of hybrid system wall elements, petroleum-based insulating materials are being replaced by biogenic insulating materials whose raw materials come from regional cultivation and processing. The use of cement substitutes will be the focus of material technology development in order to broaden and strengthen regional value creation.
The bundling of entrepreneurial and scientific expertise in BauRaumWerk® creates solutions for the digitalization backlog in the construction industry in conjunction with industrial, modular production. This will also counteract the worsening shortage of skilled workers in the industry. The decarbonization of the building sector is being pursued through the use of sustainable resources. With the clearly formulated one-fits-all approach, space solutions can be adapted in terms of area and volume using a modular space concept.
