RENT FOR OFFICES IN LARGE GERMAN CITIES

With a peak rental price of each 45 euros per square meter, Frankfurt on the Main and Munich rank first in 2023 when it comes to rental prices for office space. Berlin is in second place with 43 euros per square meter. On third place is Hamburg with 34 euros per square meter. When compared to the previous year, all the top office locations in Germany recorded increases in the peak rental prices for office space.

With 16.4 euros and 18.5 euros respectively per square meter, the rental prices for office space in Dresden and Leipzig are still significantly lower compared to other German metropolises.

FINDING COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE ONLINE

The Saxony-wide online commercial real estate database currently contains abourt 260 commercial lots and about 95 commercial premises available in Saxony. The information is maintained decentrally by the responsible regional economic development agencies, district offices and the Public Enterprise Saxon Property and Construction Management (SIB). For each commercial lot or property, a specific profile is available which also contains the appropriate contact person.

RENT FOR APARTMENTS IN LARGE GERMAN CITIES

On a nationwide average in Germany, the rental prices for private apartments in 2023 increased by 5.6 percent when compared to the previous year. In Germany, the average rent in the period under review amounted to a net base rent of 8.11 euros per square meter. The two major German cities with the highest rental prices for apartments are Munich (17.92 EUR / sqm) an Stuttgart (13.57 EUR / sqm).

Rental prices in Saxony’s large cities of Dresden and Leipzig are significantly below the prices in other German major citiers. In Dresden, the net base rent per square meter is 8.24 euros, in Leipzig 7.75 euros.
