We at the Saxony Trade & Invest Corporation (WFS - Wirtschaftsförderung Sachsen GmbH) are stakeholders in Saxony’s economic development program. We consider it to be our job to connect municipal and regional stakeholders from all of Saxony with one another and with our partners from around the globe. We are the business community’s link to Saxony’s State Government and its authorities. We are the strategic cooperation partner of the branch networks in Saxony. Important partners in this also include the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) and Crafts (HWK) as well as Saxony’s Development Bank (SAB). Such cooperation is used to the benefit of various subject-specific work groups / initiatives – for example, Saxony’s Foreign Trade Initiative (AWIS) and the “Arbeitskreis Sächsischer Wirtschaftsförderer,” a work group of Saxony’s economic development agencies.

In so doing, we always focus on the needs and requirements of our target groups. This really pays off for you: You have a question, a request? We know the answer or at least the right contact person for you.

WORK GROUP OF SAXONY’S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCIES

The “Arbeitskreis Sächsischer Wirtschaftsförderer,” a work group of Saxony’s economic development agencies, has established itself as a key instrument in the WFS’s communication with regional stakeholders over the course of the years. The possibility of exchanging ideas and concepts across different regions as well as talking about current topics revolving around economic development is greatly appreciated by all participants. And this close contact also benefits the smooth processing of investment projects in Saxony.

Twice a year, the Saxony Trade & Invest Corporation (WFS) prepares networking events for the regional / municipal economic development agencies. Every event focuses on a specific topic and on current developments. In addition, the WFS works together with regional economic development agencies also when it comes to the joint administration of Saxony’s commercial property data bank and conducts the requisite software trainings at regular intervals.
