Information and objective

SEMICON Japan is an international trade fair for the semiconductor industry that has grown since its founding in 1977 to become one of the largest events of its kind worldwide. Nationally and internationally renowned exhibitors provide an overview of the latest trends and the newest products, developments, and technologies in the field of semiconductor technology — ranging from thin-film technology and micro- and nanotechnology to PV systems and materials.

The goal of the trade show is to drive industry growth by bringing together manufacturers and distributors with researchers and developers, and to provide an information and communication platform. The entire value chain, from design to construction, is represented here. The focus is on the most important trends and practical solutions in semiconductor technology, with an additional emphasis on the needs of the expanding application market, which demands the development of special materials, packaging, and testing technology as well as innovative structures and processes.

To facilitate dialogue with key decision-makers, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) is planning a joint German corporate booth, the “German Pavilion.” SAXONY! stakeholders will also present themselves under this umbrella.
