Information and objective
"At the 2026 Christmasworld trade fair, Saxon arts and crafts once again impressed the international trade audience—especially visitors from the USA, Italy, and the Netherlands—with their quality and originality. Once again, centuries-old traditions and craft techniques were successfully interpreted to suit current tastes. Numerous new business contacts and orders are proof of this," explains WFS Managing Director Thomas Horn.
The range of products in Saxony’s Christmas sector is extremely diverse: it spans everything from carved and turned figurines to exquisite paper art and delicate metalwork. On March 26, 2025, the traditional crafts of the Erzgebirge region were added to the German national list of Intangible Cultural Heritage. This recognition pays special tribute to the region’s unique culture and traditions.
