Information and objective
Alongside ees Europe, three additional trade fairs will take place as part of The smarter E Europe: Intersolar Europe (solar industry), Power2Drive Europe (charging infrastructure and electromobility), and EM-Power (energy management and connected energy solutions). The boundaries between the individual trade fairs are fluid. A total of approximately 2,700 exhibitors and over 100,000 visitors are expected.
Saxony is a dynamic and vibrant business location in Germany with a long and successful industrial tradition and is characterized by great innovative power. Saxony is also one of the leading locations when it comes to the efficient conversion, storage, and use of energy – while offering attractive parameters: Highly innovative and flexible global players and SMEs, a diversified and superbly linked research community as well as skilled workers whose level of training is unparalleled in all of Europe.
The numerous stakeholders of Saxony’s energy research and industry community are active along the entire value creation chain: They are developing decentralized production plants for electricity and heat and are working on innovative, intelligent forms of energy storage as well as on sustainable drive systems. Future-oriented hydrogen and fuel cell technologies play a key role. Thus, the energy-saving development and application of products above and beyond their entire life cycle from design all the way to recycling play the same important role as does the end-to-end energy-efficient configuration and layout of industrial processes.
