SAXONY!visit - A Business Trip to Saxony: Construction and Restoration of Cultural Heritage

Information and objective

Saxony Trade & Invest (WFS) invites experts, decision-makers, and managers to join on a business trip through Saxony.

Numerous players are active in Saxony along the entire value chain for construction and heritage conservation (especially in 3D visualization and modeling) in Saxony and related innovative fields. Saxony's players have outstanding expertise in this field and can show different best practice examples and activities. 

The 3-day agenda will include: 

• Attendance of a main branch event  
• Discussions and lots of networking possibilities with experts and company representatives about innovations in the conservation, restoration and old building renovation sectors
• Presentations showcasing the competencies and business opportunities in Saxony
• Cultural highlights
• Company visits
• attendance of the “denkmal” trade fair
• possibility of matchmaking (international networking & matchmaking exchange "CONTACT") 

By attending the SAXONY!visit project, participants can meet partners, establish collaborations, and exchange expertise on the latest technologies. The Saxony Trade & Invest Corp. (WFS) rounds it up with additional company visits.

WFS kindly asks everyone to register and / or submit ideas for cooperation beforehand, which could then be discussed during the trip.

The size of the business delegation might range from 10 to 20 participants as an international group (Switzerland, Poland, Baltic states etc). The main project language will be English.

ACCOMODATION

• Saxony Trade and Invest arranged a limited prebooking
  Price indication: 125,00 € including breakfast (per night per person in a single room), plus accommodation tax 6,61 € per night.
  Reference: will be provided after registration
  Reservation option: valid until May 27, 2026.
  Chancelation: Free chancelation of the hotel until August 10, 2026
  Payment: at check-in
• All transfer wíll start and end at a central place or hotel in the City of Leipzig
• Participants are required to organize their own travel to and from Leipzig (Saxony, Germany).
• The hotel charges and, if relevant, cancellation fees are in the responsibility of the attendee.
• You may be asked to finalize the reservation with your personal details by sending an email to the hotel.
• If you stay at a different hotel, you are fully responsible for being on time at the meeting points.
• Other events are taking place at the same time. Early booking is recommended.

COSTS

Participation in the SAXONY!visit project is free of charge but requires prior registration.

The following project costs are covered within the project:

• Project management in Saxony
• Transfers in Saxony / company visits
• Optional: Translation assistance
• Special promo tickets for one-day conference attendance at the Saxon Innovation Summit
• Special promo tickets for one-day conference attendance at the 29th International Dresden Lightweight Engineering Symposium 

The following costs are not included and need to be financed by the participants:

• Travel expenses to / from Saxony
• Accommodation costs in Saxony and short-term cancellation fee's for hotels or flights
• Costs for the preparation of your company presentation / marketing material
• Second day and / or attendance of “DENKMAL” as guest
• Own travel and health insurance
• Individual visits to tourist sites
• Individual appointments

REGISTRATION

The registration link will be open until September 30, 2026. But please bear in mind that the current hotel contingent is only available until Augut 27, 2026.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Only B2B contacts can be accepted. Upon registration, each participant can specifiy interests and needs for cooperation. Please advise your travel details as well (use the “Message to the organizer" field). Your application needs to be confirmed prior to the event either by the Saxony Trade & Invest Corporation or by the project partners. The number of participants is limited.

• Participants are required to organize their own travel to and from Saxony (Dresden).
• When registering for the 3-day program, you accept the General Terms and Conditions of Participation for Events issued by the Saxony Trade & Invest Corporation (WFS).
• The project is organized in cooperation with other and additional partners as well. Registration data will and need to be shared with those partners for organizational matters. Those third parties may request seperat registrations for the use of the matching plattform such as “CONTACT” or similar.
• It may happen, that we kindly ask you to register for third-party events seperatly.
• With your registration for this 3-day program, you agree that the Saxony Trade & Invest Corporation and partners may also take photographs and videos during the complete event and publish them in online and offline media.
• The entire event will be in English.
• For the project communication the Saxony Trade & Invest Corporation (WFS) will use social media chanels (e. g. WhatsApp or similar).

CO-FINANCER & ORGANIZER

This event is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxony State Parliament. The client in this context is the Saxony State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labor, Energy and Climate Protection, which supports the project. The event is part of a “SAXONY!visit” project. The project is being coordinated by the Saxony Trade & Invest Corporation (WFS). There will be additonal support from third-party organizations.

• 08.00 am: Transfer from Hotel to trade fair “denkmal”
• 09:00 am: Registration and coffee break
• 09.30 am: Guided tour at “denkmal”

Day 3 - Friday, November 06

• 08.30 am: Group pick-up from the hotel / parallel program points
• 09.00 am - 12.30 pm: Company visits in Leipzig
