Key technologies and industrial strength from Saxony for the European aerospace industry: Saxony is a high-tech hub with a strong industrial tradition and excellent technological expertise. The German Federal State’s unique selling point across Europe lies in its one-of-a-kind technological and industrial integration of microelectronics, data transmission technologies, software, lightweight construction, mobility applications, and manufacturing expertise for mass production. These strengths open up strong value chains for Saxony’s companies and research institutions, including in the aerospace industry.

Saxony’s supply chain, dominated by medium-sized companies, is a reliable partner to the aerospace industry and is involved in projects such as the A350 and the Ariane 6 launch vehicle. Its core competencies include lightweight construction, sensor technology, and satellite communication systems.
