Saxony scores with strongest growth in start-ups
This is confirmed by the latest data from the semi-annual report series "Next Generation - Startups in Germany", which is published by the Startup Association and startupdetector.Saxony recorded the highest growth at 71%, followed by Bavaria (23%) and North Rhine-Westphalia (16%).
This means that Saxony has improved to 7th place in the ranking of federal states in terms of start-up activity per capita.
By far the most start-ups (368) were in the software sector, which grew by 16% compared to the previous year. Industrial solutions, for example in the field of AI-supported automation, are also becoming significantly more important - growth of 29% was recorded here.
In the B2C segment, there is also a clear upward trend after a difficult phase. The food sector is developing particularly dynamically, with the number of start-ups increasing by 44%. The eCommerce sector is also growing again - with an increase of 14%.
