Production technology for technical textiles
Cetex is the research institute in Germany for new technologies and machines in textile and processing machine construction. Its activities focus on research, development and design of technologies for technical textiles and textile-based composites suitable for large-scale production.
This combines traditional textile machine construction with modern lightweight construction and processing machine construction. The focus is on requirements-oriented textile-based semi-finished products, functional components and high-performance structures, including for the automotive industry.
Research is currently focusing on process and material developments for continuous fiber-reinforced semi-finished products and complex preforms as well as the machines used to manufacture them. Other areas of research include innovative manufacturing technologies for geotextiles, functional 3D textiles and natural and man-made fiber yarns.
In addition, the team of 52 employees supports customers in the implementation of demanding tasks in product development and material testing, in metrological investigations and in prototype and special machine construction.
