With "Lausitzer Porter" to One of the Most Modern Breweries in Europe

When Steffen Dittmar took over Bergquell Brauerei Löbau in 1999, the annual beer production was 7,000 hectoliters; today it is around 200,000. Within just a few years, the company has succeeded in transforming itself from a regional brewery into one of the most modern breweries in Europe.

Beer lovers across the country appreciate the top-fermented, dark, slightly sweet brewing specialty "Lausitzer Porter", the fruity mixed beer drinks "Kirsch-Porter" and "Erdbeer-Porter" or the strong, aromatic strong beer "Strong Porter". The beers in the Porter family are not only sold throughout Germany, they are also popular in Poland and the Czech Republic. In addition to the newly developed specialties, Bergquell continues to brew traditional Pilsner, Hefeweizen and Kellerbier, Radler and seasonal products.
