The Breakthrough for SAXONY!

We welcome B2B delegations from all over the world to our meeting room 216, so it made sense to offer our guests a first insight into the diversity of Saxony as a business location. Sebastian Girbig, better known in the graffiti scene as "Slider", has realized this vision for us.

The Idea Behind the Breakthrough

A section of the long corridor of our office floor on the 2nd floor of the BusinessPark Dresden was waiting - literally as a white wall - for a contemporary design. The wall is visible from the stairwell through two glass doors. The wall to be designed is 7.85 m long and 2.89 m high and is bordered by two doors that lead into our large meeting room. Next to the glass doors, opposite this wall, are tables and chairs that are used during breaks from work or events for discussions and meals. We felt that the lively atmosphere in the corridor should be enhanced by an active and fresh visual design. The idea of using urban art appealed to everyone who thought about it.

In search of a creative partner for the implementation, we contacted SPIKE Dresden e. V. - a contact point for the youth culture hip hop and all elements of this culture (urban art, rap, breakdancing, DJing etc.). The artist Sebastian Girbig, known in the graffiti scene for almost 30 years as "Slider", has been active in and for SPIKE for many years and took on the challenge of creating a commissioned work for us on the subject of "SAXONY!" as a business location.

We wanted to present SAXONY! in a contemporary and stylish way, above all on the basis of its most important technological competencies. And not with the usual "AI-generated high-tech placeholder pictures", but with real success stories from Saxony's economy.

You are now looking at the result. We hope you like it and that it inspires you to ask questions. You are welcome to address these directly to our colleagues looking after you on site. Or you can use the contact form at the bottom of this page. We would be delighted to receive your feedback.

Sebastian Girbig has been a graffiti artist for 30 years and has been working in the field of commissions for a good 20 years - independently in the areas of façade design, graphics & layout, workshops and much more. In addition to his career as a classic graffiti artist with worldwide invitations to China, Canada, Brazil, Iraq, Spain, Italy, Holland, Norway, Belgium, Denmark, France and many other countries, he is a sought-after artist in the field of façade design with exciting commissions for clients such as Netflix, Tesla, Skoda, Radeberger and many more.
