"Silicon Saxony" is Europe's largest ICT / microelectronics location. Every third chip produced in Europe is "Made in Saxony". BOSCH, GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Infineon and - from 2025 and 2027 respectively - JENOPTIK and TSMC also operate some of the world's most modern semiconductor fabs in Dresden.
