Intenta in Chemnitz has been working on software modules for driver assistance, navigation and automated driving for more than 10 years.

IAV GmbH’s Chemnitz / Stollberg site specializes in the development of highly automated assistance systems and the implementation of field tests. The engineering services provider has already tested a number of experimental vehicles with great success under regular traffic conditions.

The Smart Rail Connectivity Campus (SRCC), the only one of its kind in Europe, pools the expertise of over 150 partners to test highly automated driving on standard gauge. 2019 saw the world's first driverless train run in the Erzgebirge Mountains.

TraceTronic GmbH, headquartered in Dresden, supports more than 150 companies in the international automotive and supplier industry with software products and innovative solutions for the development and safeguarding of complex embedded systems in vehicles.

NAVENTIK - a spin-off from Chemnitz University of Technology - has developed software for precise environmental detection of vehicles in urban areas. Since fall 2022, the company has been part of u-blox, a Swiss provider of chips and modules that support satellite navigation systems.

With six vehicle, engine and battery plants operated by Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, "Autoland Saxony" is one of the top 5 automotive locations in Germany. Every eighth car and 40% of all fully electric cars built in Germany are "Made in Saxony".

Saxony has stood for innovation in the rail sector for more than 175 years. Since then, Saxony has developed into a leading rail technology location and is one of the top 3 centers of the industry in Germany.

The predominantly medium-sized supplier landscape in Saxony is a reliable partner to major aircraft manufacturers and is involved in major international projects such as the A350 program. Its core competencies are lightweight components, testing and sensor technology and aircraft conversion.
