The aim of the "Gartenmahlzeit" project is to develop and fully establish a new type of regional value chain for plant-based foods for end consumers and the food service industry based on legumes.

Butchery products with the usual taste, but without animal ingredients - this was the guiding principle behind the founding of Die Vegane Fleischerei in 2023 and the opening of the first store in Dresden in the same year.

The Dresden-based Elb-Ferment manufactory, founded in 2019, is dedicated to the production of fermented foods. Among other things, the young company produces the trendy drink Kombucha as well as kimchi and kefir in this way.

Under the ALGENWERK brand, plant manufacturer Puevit offers raw, unprocessed spirulina as a fresh, regional food. The algae grow in the company's own facilities and are harvested directly and freshly bottled without any further processing steps.

The ENABLE R&D project is exploring the potential of the non-conventional unicellular freshwater algae Chlorella zofingiensis, which is an excellent bioactive food due to its balanced metabolite spectrum of fatty acids, proteins and primary and secondary carotenoids.

The Ferblend project dealt with the combined use of sunflower press cake from edible oil production and the sweet whey from cheese production.

IPC Process-Center is a contract manufacturing company specializing in the production of pellets and granulates. Using innovative technologies, functional bulk materials are manufactured for customers throughout Europe.

Rubinmühle Vogtland specializes in the production of cereal flakes and other milled products. In addition to spelt, barley, wheat and rye, it mainly processes oats into flakes, flour and groats. A large proportion of the oats are organically grown.
