SCHNELLECKE GROUP AG & CO. KG, Sites IN Saxony

The logistics service provider Schnellecke Group AG & Co. KG provides comprehensive services ranging from transportation all the way to module assembly at all vehicle construction sites in Saxony. From its corporate sites in Zwickau and Glauchau, the company ensures the just-in-sequence supply of the VW Plant Zwickau with modules, components, and parts. That’s why a state-of-the-art logistics center was built in Zwickau in 2014. The new supplier center in Leipzig delivers production supplies to Porsche. And at BMW, Schnellecke has also assumed the supply logistics of the pressing plant, car body construction, and CFRP production. Further sites of Schnellecke are situated in Dresden, Rackwitz, and Gößnitz.

DB SCHENKER LOGISTICS, logistics center LEIPZIG

DB Schenker Logistics has more than doubled its capacities at its Leipzig logistics center since 2012. From here, the company supplies BMW’s automobile factories in China and South Africa with structural components and almost complete vehicles. Every day, up to 50 containers leave the logistics center – by seafreight to Rosslyn, South Africa; by rail to Shenyang, China. DB Schenker gets the components from the BMW suppliers and from the BMW Plant Leipzig and prepares them for their shipment – including picking the individual consignments and ensuring the safe packaging and expert conservation of corrodible parts and components.

BLG LOGISTICS GROUP AG & CO. KG, LEIPZIG SITE

Since January 1, 2016, the Bremen-based BLG LOGISTICS GROUP AG & Co. KG has been assuming part of the logistics services for the BMW Plant in Leipzig. On about 200,000 square meters, BLG renders logistics services along the entire supply chain directly in the BMW Plant; ranging from incoming goods to warehouse management, picking and sequencing, and assembly line supply all the way to empties handling. In so doing, BGL controls the supply of the auto builder’s conventional models at the Leipzig production site. The processing volume encompasses all the parts needed for daily production.

RUDOLPH LOGISTIK GRUPPE GMBH & CO. KG, LEIPZIG SITE

At the beginning of the year 2016, the Rudolph Logistik-Gruppe GmbH & Co. KG from Baunatal in Hesse assumed the supply logistics for BMW i series vehicles in Leipzig’s BMW Plant. The service volume, thus, includes assembly line supply, car body construction as well as the supply and disposal of injection molding machines. Rudolph Logistik manages all tasks, ranging from incoming goods to empties handling and internal factory transports.
